Is it okay to wash your hair with dog shampoo?

then go buy some more (human) shampoo.

Is it okay to wash your hair with dog shampoo?

Yeah it's perfectly fine, in fact there a lot of good ingredients that will moisturize your hair and your scalp. However it might weigh down your hair a little bit.

Is it okay to wash your hair with dog shampoo?

NO go buy some more shampoo. Dog shampoo has lot's of anti-bacterial killers and flea killers in it because dogs don't often take baths.

Is it okay to wash your hair with dog shampoo?

don't use the dog shampoo just go to the store and buy a new shampoo. the dog shampoo will damage your hair if you do.

Is it okay to wash your hair with dog shampoo?

Ok you can get Cheap shampoo for like 1$ ok? DONT USE DOG SHAMPOO. Its not the same thing as mane and tail for horses. Use body wash if you HAVE to.

Is it okay to wash your hair with dog shampoo?

I would think it would be really bad for your hair, if that's all you've go tho, that's all you've got.

P.S. I'd probably use dish soap/hand soap before dog shampoo.

How can I reduce the amount of hair my dog sheds?

My dog sheds a ridiculous amount and I do not want to have one of those "dog" smelling houses. I vacuum almost everyday and he gets baths fand is brushed out frequently. I just can't keep up with all the hair. Is there a shampoo or a medicine or home remedy-ANYTHING!

How can I reduce the amount of hair my dog sheds?

brush your dog regularly and see about getting him professionally groomed if possible. sometimes shedding is a sign of something more serious so perhaps check with your vet.

How can I reduce the amount of hair my dog sheds?

feed him well, groom him regularly, change his physical activity, change his diet, stress ratesconsult your vet on this one too.

How can I reduce the amount of hair my dog sheds?

Shave your dog!

How can I reduce the amount of hair my dog sheds?

Not really, it sounds like you are already doing everything you can.

How can I reduce the amount of hair my dog sheds?

I give my dogs Bob Marleys it really works!!!

How can I reduce the amount of hair my dog sheds?

we had a malamut and when summer came he shed enough hair to stuff a duvet! for real. some dogs shed a lot of hair, the only option you have is to shave your dog, it won't shed less hair except if it has no hair.

How can I reduce the amount of hair my dog sheds?

i so sypathise with you i have two dogs one is a sttaforshire bull terrier who sheds v little.but the other is a german shepard who seems to grow more hair just too shed it on my carpet lol.

found this piece on web tried it and it works for me.

good luck

How can I reduce the amount of hair my dog sheds?

Have a look here.

How can I reduce the amount of hair my dog sheds?

Depending on what kind of dog it is, have him/her groomed and shaved down a bit. I have a chocolate lab/husky mix. He got the behavior and color of the lab but the hair of the husky. We have him shaved about every 3-4 months. The hair reduced greatly in the house. Plus we live in FL and it makes him feel so much better. Not nearly as hot for him.

How can I reduce the amount of hair my dog sheds?

Most dogs shed excessively during summer. You are doing everything possible already it sems. Keep up with the brushing and if your climate supports you can also bathe your dog everyday.

However I dont like the idea of shaving your dog

How can I reduce the amount of hair my dog sheds?

Of course, it depends where u live....if there are 4 seasons in ur area, ur dog will be sheding its hair twice a year - during spring and fall, if there is summer most of the time, it will be ur working time. Comb, comb, comb!!! 2 -3 times a day.

How can I reduce the amount of hair my dog sheds?

1) if it is excessive see a vet

2) daily grooming helps

3) poor quality food makes pets shed more. feed a premium food.

Some of the best include California Natural, Solid Gold, Innova and Merrick

How can I reduce the amount of hair my dog sheds?

brush him/ her everyday.

dogs generally shed more in the summer too

How can I reduce the amount of hair my dog sheds?

give the dog an raw egg ever morning

How can I reduce the amount of hair my dog sheds?

just find the perfect brush that will remove pet fur without it coming of by it self... sometimes shedding is caused by not enough nutrition... try that. More nutrition

Cutest puppy breed, long hair small dog?

i want a new puppy, i want it to be a small dog with fluffy to long hair. what should i get

Cutest puppy breed, long hair small dog?

Pomeranian

The Pomeranian is a tiny, fluffy dog with a wedge-shaped head and pointed erect ears. Some have faces that breeders liken to a fox; others have baby-doll or "pansy" faces. All have bright, dark, almond-shaped eyes with an intelligent expression. The nose is either dark or the color of its coat. The teeth should meet in a scissors bite. Poms also boast a distinctive feathered tail that fans forward over the back. There is an abundant ruff around the neck and chest area. The profuse stand-off double coat usually comes in solid colors. Any solid color is allowed, but the most common are red, orange, white or cream, blue, brown or black. Sometimes the coat is parti-colored (white with colored markings), black %26amp; tan, wolf or orange sable.

Papillon :)

Cutest puppy breed, long hair small dog?

shi tzu

Cutest puppy breed, long hair small dog?

You may want to look into getting a papillon.

Papillons have very friendly, adventurous temperaments. From the AKC breed description, "Happy, alert and friendly. Neither shy nor aggressive."

http://www.akc.org/breeds/papillon/

Papillons are very intelligent (sometimes too much so for their own good!). They are in the top 10 most intelligent dogs breeds.

http://petrix.com/dogint/1-10.html

They stay small:

They are in the "toy" group in AKC: http://www.akc.org/breeds/toy_group.cfm

Height: Males 8-11 inches (20-28cm) Females 8-11 inches (20-28cm)

Weight: Males 8-10 pounds (4-5kg.) Females 7-9 pounds (3-4kg)

http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/papillon.htm

One of the "most trainable toy breeds".

http://www.yourpurebredpuppy.com/reviews...

They come in a variety of colors to meet your fancy:

http://www.braylorspapillons.com/colors....

They are long-haired and fluffy, but also do not requirement a professional groomer. All you need to do is brush them regularly.

Also, if you want to get into agility, they are the top choice in their height category. (They can even beat border collie times on some courses, but due to size difference, they will never be competing against border collies.)

(Note: They are a high-energy breed of dog, so if you want a laid back lap-dog, a papillon may not be for you. But if you want an active, spunky dog, papillons are a wonderful choice!)

Great looks, great temperament, great personalities, definitely a superb breed of dog! :D

Cutest puppy breed, long hair small dog?

Lhasa Apso.

see pic.

Cutest puppy breed, long hair small dog?

There are several small breeds that are cute, with fluffy and/or long hair. The real question is which of these breeds is most compatible with your lifestyle? Some are harder to train than others, some need more attention than others, some are "barkier" than others, etc. I recommend going to http://selectadog.pedigree.com.au/ or http://www.selectsmart.com/DOG/ or any other similar website that helps narrow down the best choices for breeds based on your living arrangements and personality preferences.

Hope this helps.

A yorkie

Cutest puppy breed, long hair small dog?

A Papillon is small dog with long, fluffy hair. Paps are very happy, lively little dogs, and "social butterflies" as they are known. And yes, they are very cute!

Cutest puppy breed, long hair small dog?

Pom, hands down they are cute and small size. They are also alert and terrific little companions. I have one and she gets along with our four cats and everyone she has come in contact with.

She is lying next to me right now, as I type this looking up at me with her cute little "foxy" face.

She is so lovable, if we have to go away without her (very rarely) we have about a dozen people who will volunteer to dog sit for us.

Have a great day and enjoy your new pup, no matter what you get.

Cutest puppy breed, long hair small dog?

Long haired chihuahua. Chis are the best!

Cutest puppy breed, long hair small dog?

Shi tzu or teacup Schnauzer

Cutest puppy breed, long hair small dog?

Cutest puppy breed, long hair small dog?

Long coat Chihuahua. I have 2 little "fluffy butts" They are adorable.

Cutest puppy breed, long hair small dog?

With out a doubt the Yorkie is the cutest! They are very laid back as well.

Cutest puppy breed, long hair small dog?

I like a Yorkie. They are expensive tho.

Multi-color dog hair?

My dog is a rare mix - beagle %26amp; husky - and his hairs are about 1-1/2" long. The tips (1/4") of the hairs are black and the bottom and root are white. Is this normal? I've never seen dogs with two different colors on the same hairs.

Also, he is super cute and incredibly easy to train. Can I make money off him at mixed breed dog shows?

Multi-color dog hair?

Awww, hes cute!

Yes thats normal, its called "sable" :-) or "shaded sable" if its on the same hair.

my dogs a pomeranian, and an "orange sable".

Sable just means the tips are black. so i guess yours would be a "cream-sable" or "white sable" ...Congrats! :-P

it comes from the animal Sable, whos fur is valued very highly in the fur trade.

so unless your wanting to skin him and make a coat :-( - by all means, enter him in a show, but keep dreaming about making money!lol

Multi-color dog hair?

Huskies are like that. We have a litter of Beagle/Husky puppies at our shelter right now...along with the mom and dad!!!!!! Not rare by any means.

You don't make money at dogs shows...you PAY money.

Multi-color dog hair?

Its very normal. Lots of dogs have hairs that are multi-colored.

My Melody has hairs that are light at the base, brown in the middle, then another band of light and then black at the tip.

Dog shows are an expensive hobby, not a money-maker.

Multi-color dog hair?

you're kidding about the dog shows right?

he is cute and yes many dogs have multi-dimensional/colored hairs.

Multi-color dog hair?

Your dog looks lovely. Unless you are willing to train him lots and get him into movies/adverts or the circus, I don't think you can make money off him. Wouldn't it be nice though if dogs could work to pay off vet bills? Just a thought.

Multi-color dog hair?

he has the face of a beagle and the hair and colouring of a husky or malmute. they are part wolf so his fur is a lot simular to that breed and they can be different colors. i have a bl and white husky who has a little grey and tan in him and as a kid we raised a wolf pup who had several colors.i'm not sure about dog shows so u will have to find out more about the showing qualifacations.

Dog hair doos and don'ts!?

now i want to SEE your doggy hair cuts! :)

i have a maltese who has very bad skin problems and as i live in the tropics it's better to have his hair cut short so his skin doesn't flair up again.

but we thought we'd have some fun if he already has to be cut short! so he now has a mohawke with a schnauzer beard! he looks a bit like MR.T!! :)

what kind of hair cuts do your dogs have!? if possible with pics so i can maybe give my boy a new cut as his hair is getting a bit longer! thanks!

Dog hair doos and don'ts!?

Here's my boy Gizmo the way he looks long

Dog hair doos and don'ts!?

hmm.. not much I could do about this one..

http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/kai...

and these two are still shaved down..

http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/kai... (they tend to mess up their fur so much during the warm months.. so we shave them down.. and then let it start growing in when fall hits..

Dog hair doos and don'ts!?

Best thing i could think of is thick hair on feet shaved body tail thick face thick thats what i do

HOpe i helped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone else have a washing machine which does NOT filter the debris (dog hair etc) that comes off th

I'm told that the "new" machines (my brand new Maytag) do not have filters like older models did (my 1992 GE). End result is the clothes wash in their own debris (lint, dog hair, leaves etc). That debris then STAYS in the machine %26amp; swishes around with the next load!! You have to wipe out the washer between loads %26amp; it's impossible to get it all out. Example: I washed a small area rug (after shaking out loose debris) and was left with a mess in the washer. The "pro's" at Maytag say that is now normal for washers! I've never had this happen in the 20 years I've been washing clothes! Am I alone on this one??? Thanks for taking the time........

Anyone else have a washing machine which does NOT filter the debris (dog hair etc) that comes off the clothes?

This is exactly the reason I don't replace my 10 year old machines with the new high efficiency models. We have 2 little white, long haired Eskies that leave their hair on everything. My wonderful neighbor invested in new machines only to discover that they did not install filters in her machines, either. We washed garments covered in hair in her machine, which came out looking about like when they went in and took those we garments to my house, rewashed them in my machines and they came out virtually hair free. No my friend, you are not out of your mind, the new machines are an expensive dog hair nightmare

Anyone else have a washing machine which does NOT filter the debris (dog hair etc) that comes off the clothes?

Use liquid fabric softener in the rinse. That loosens these things and what's left on the clothes comes off in the dryer. Works every time I add fabric softener to the rinse

Anyone else have a washing machine which does NOT filter the debris (dog hair etc) that comes off the clothes?

I didn't know any washers had a "lint" trap filter. None of mine ever have had - just my dryers.

Where can I find black dress pants that don't pick up every single piece of dog hair in my hous

I need black pants to go with a pinstripe suit jacket (I want the pants to be plain black) but it seems like all the fabrics pick up a lot of dog hair. Does anyone know where I can find a pair of pants like this or what fabrics repel dog hair? I am a 0 or 2 petite if anyone wants to give me a direct link.

Where can I find black dress pants that don't pick up every single piece of dog hair in my house?

Unfortunatly there is no easy out for this situation. There simply are no clothes that repell hair. Your best bet is keeping the clothing coverd in plastic, similar to the way you get items from a dry cleaner.

Where can I find black dress pants that don't pick up every single piece of dog hair in my house?

Well for some black pants you can get some gauchos. But that is wish for no dog hair. Take a purse with you a carry a lint brush.

Where can I find black dress pants that don't pick up every single piece of dog hair in my house?

well there is no 'anti hair' fabric....or at least from what i kno

you just have to just a hair/lint remover and perhaps you can do it outside of the house so then it wount catch anymore hair

Where can I find black dress pants that don't pick up every single piece of dog hair in my house?

if you don't want dog hair on your trousers (or your jacket, or any other piece of black clothing) then the only route to achieve that is to get rid of the dog

Where can I find black dress pants that don't pick up every single piece of dog hair in my house?

i dont know of any that repel hair but just keep a lint roller with you in the car lol. jcpenney belk and other places like that have them for a good price and they are really cute... hope that helps.

Where can I find black dress pants that don't pick up every single piece of dog hair in my house?

There aren't any pants like that. Before you put your pants on, spray them with some anti-static spray (found in laundry isle). Then when you get out of the house, roll them with a lint brush. I know how frustrating dog and cat hair is. I have 2 cats and a Golden Ret.
