The stuff at walmart that you can buy to color your hair, I'm wanting to make my dog a skunk, b/c that's her nickname, but I didn't know if that would be safe to use or not.

haha my mom told me a story that my uncles did this to her dog a long time ago and the dog was fine after that so i would guess that it is OK but I can't be 100% sure... that sounds like it will be really funny, Happy Halloween!

No no no...that is not ok. No human hair products should ever be used on dogs because their skin is very sensitive and it can make them very dry, itchy and red. Definitely not hair color.

Like all chemicals, the hair color could be a hazard to pets. While some people do dye their dogs, it is with special dye, not Wal-Mart spray. I wouldn't recommend using the people stuff on your dog.

the label must say if there is a problem if one eats (ingests) the paint. If it sais there is, then it's not safe for pets if you know they like to lick

Read the label on the bottle. Usually they say, "Do Not Use On Pets", or "Has Not Been Tested On Animals".

IF it is only food colouring it should be ok.... unless you have a sir LICK ALOT.

But you should wash it off the dog right away.

Have you ever seen a PINK POODLE??? well they use the colouring on them everytime they are groomed... ... just make sure your doggie get a bath at least in the morning.

As long as its not toxic enough to cause some problems or if the smell of the spray is not to strong, then the dog would be fine.
