I breed and show pugs and they truly shed more than anything or any animal on Earth. We vacuum, a lot.

Have you tried a love glove? It's great. It's a mitt you put on and it has rubber bristles, we'll take the pugs outside and give them a good rub down. They love it and you can really see the fur fly!

I also have a couple that bought pug puppies from me and they actually shave them to keep the shedding down. They don't shave them bald, but just shorter length. It works for them. They still shed but the grooming schedule seems to help them.

For a different perspective, I will sometimes take the clumps of pug fur I find, and just put it outside. I figure some bird might like it for a nest. Well, maybe.

there is a brush called the shedender. it sounds like a scam, but it actually works. i have used it on all hair length dogs (golden retriever, brittany, pitbull, pomeranian) and it worked pretty well. use it like, maybe twice a week.

dogs shed there fur all the time and mostly when it is sheding season

so all you could probably do is get them a jumper or doggy shirt to stop the fur going everywhere and then it will just stay in the jumper or shirt

There's a couple things you can do.

Switching to the higher quality food reduces shedding significantly, adding certain supplements can help as well - an amino acid/omega complex. or even fish oil.

Invest in a Furminator Brush, as well as a zoom groom. ANd break out the old hoover :)

Brush them consistantly and regularly......almost every day to keep them freshly groomed and rid of all loose hair on your dogs. If you make it a habit of doing this most every day, the hair released onto your floors and carpet will decrease.

I have a golden retriever and this is what I do to alleviate having to vacuum every single day.....and, well you may already know how much hair a golden has! We have wood floors that shows every strand of hair.

I just got a pug. I had a fawn-colored one when i was a child and she was my best friend, so I've been wanting one ever since. My new baby is all black and she sheds sooo much! I never realized they were so bad...and I think we all might be allergic to her :-(

Actually...I don't know anything that will completely make this stop shedding, but I know what will help eliminate the shedding. Feed your dog natural valley dog food. I know it sounds crazy, but it really improves the dogs coat. It worked for my dog and it is really good for them too.

Try getting a grooming glove with the rubber nubs on it. When you pet your dogs wear the glove. The glove will take off alot of the loose fur. Also there is a metal loop I don't know what it is called. They come in all sizes and it really takes the loose fur away. You could do this outside and there will be less fur around the house.
