Dog "hair" is long with no fuzzy undercaot, like Maltese, Yorkies, or Lhasas have. "Fur" is the soft, fuzzy stuff that keeps the dog warm, like chows, Sibes, or Samoyeds have. Most breeds have a mixture of the two. A fuzzy undercoat, and the longer harder gaurd hairs.

dog hair grows and needs to be cut. fur just sheds.
What is the difference between dog hair and dog fur?
The hair is the stuff on the top of the dog, the fur bit is the soft bits underneath and between their paws.
What is the difference between dog hair and dog fur?
Dog hair doesn't shed. You have to cut it to get rid of it. I only know of about three breeds that have hair. Poodles, schnauzers and I think some kinds of terriers. Dog fur is like what labs have. It is super thick and falls out and you don't really cut it because it sheds. I hope this helps!
What is the difference between dog hair and dog fur?
There is no difference between dog hair and dog fur. It is one and the same. Some people like to say doghair..some like dog fur.. but its all the same and when your dog sheds you will
still wearing it..whether its dog fur or hair ;p
