How do you get ALL the dog hair out of your carpet?

Actually, having carpet is better for a dog's joints -- hardwood floors can really do a number on their knees and hips over time, as they bound around each day. I have a dog, and the best investment I made was a Dyson Animal DC-14. It gets ALL the hair and then some out of the carpet. My best advice is to invest in a great vacuum with a carpet brush. When I want to get extra hair out of the carpet, I get on my hands and knees with the carpet brush, and I brush against the grain of the carpet, and then with the grain. All this stuff comes out!

well if a really good vacume won't work.. and you're still not happy after you have the pros come and clean it for you.. you may just haveta get a new carpet and not let the dog in the house.

Try a carpet rake.. you'll be very surprised what that gets out of your carpet.

I would use a rug doctor. They are a cheap alternative to professional steam cleaning and it really gets the gunk out. Since you can rent them, it ends up costing alot less. I've included a link to the rug doctor web page where you can search for a rental near you.

you never can get all the hair out, but if you get on your hands and knees and just rub you get a good amount of it out. The only real way is to get rid of the dog, but who wants to do that. Dog hair is just part of being an animal lover. Also, try using a wet wash rag and rub it across your carpet.

pull up the carpet...that's just gross. sorry, but i don't see why people let their animals run around on their carpet floors. i'm all for having indoor animals, but my floors will be hard wood before i get any pet in there trompin around on it

get new carpet!

You can either use a really, really strong vacuum cleaner or you can take scotch-tape and paste it all over your carpet before stripping it off. The more stubborn dog hair should come out.
