I would recommend taking a trip to your local pet store and buying a brush especially made to help stop shedding. Also I would ask you vet to recommend a higher quality food. Iams is not so good for you beloved friend. You dog is still going to shed, but it should reduce the amount left all over your house. Good Luck.

I hear there's nothing to do for shedding. My vet had some stuff that's taken by mouth and he actually told me not to waste my money on it! My dog sheds terribly and all that I can tell you is I love my swiffer sweeper for the wood floors and I keep my vac handy which doesn't do much and I keep a big roll of clear packing tape with scissors nearby and that's what I use to pull most of the hair off the furniture. I know some people that shave their dogs bare but then I'd think you'd have little tiny hair all over which would be just as bad! Good luck, I hope your dog is worth the hair, ours is!
