They DO shed (trust me...I brush her...I know), but the hair that would normally fall on the floor gets caught in their other curly hair. That's why it is imperative that they get groomed on a 6-8 week basis because they will mat and it will huuuuuurt when time comes to take the mats out.

poodles or shih-tzus...and possibly a lhasa apso....anything with fine hair that is relatively long...but you would have to make sure that the hair is brushed pretty often otherwise the dog would evnd up with matting...due to the hair being fine and long the lose hairs get stuck in the hair making it a "shedless" dog but i do bvelieve that it is only for the smaller dogs...nothing like a husky or anything....but a smaller dog..i have a shih-tzu / lhasa apso mix and she doesn't shed at all but i have to brush her hair every day since the day that i got her..they are sweet and if treated right they can end up thinking of themselves as a child :)

Do not think a Poodle X will be low shedding. It will have a 50/50 chance of being low shedding. The worst shedder I have seen in 30 years in dogs was a labradoodle (Lab X Poodle).
