How do I remove dog hair from my vehicle ? It's everywhere ! Vacuum doesn't get it !?

I used to work at a Detail Shop that my father owned and this is how we got rid of pet hair in a car:

On the floor boards use a thin wire brush to work up the fabric that has been flattened. Then Vacuum.

On the seats get a wet rag and rub the opposite way the fabric goes, then vacuum.

If this leave a little hair (which it will if there is alot of hair) you can then go to packaging tape or duct tape and wrap it around your hand back words. Again go against the way the fabric goes to pick up the excess hair.

It's a real pain but it works 100%

get one of those roller tape lint brushes. They have strong tape and are preforated and they are great with hair (and fleas).

Use a brush, or even better a sticky roller or a piece of wide tape around your hand, sticky side out.

How about the sticky roll things you get for coats? Or just get some heavy duty tapes, roll them round your palms and stick away... sticky side up of course and no duct type.

Get a link roller.. Or just get seat covers when you buy the vehicle, then you can take them off and throw them in the wash. Or just wear clothes covered with two faced tape.. then you'll clean it up without having to do anything at all..... I don't know.. Our car is full of dog hair..

you need to get a very very powerful vacuum..like a wet/dry vac, that has at least 5 hp

then as you go over the car, just use your hand to rub it over the hair everywhere you got it.

Use a strong lint brush or duct tape it out. Every time I take my dog to the vet I have to do the same thing. What I do is I wrap a plush ball with the duct tape (adhesive side out) and dab all around my car.

I know this sounds ridiculous but use a lint roller.

(once my vaccuum stopped working right and i had to wait several days before getting a new one so I used a lint roller on my living room-ghetto i know!!)

Use the sticky side of a real strong clear tape. It will work great for that.

try sprinkling a carpet freshner that picks up hair ( i use arm and hammer for pets ) it is suppose to make hair easier to vacuum. plus it will leave you car smelling nice :)

It's because of 'static'.

Try Arm %26amp; Hammer Carpet %26amp; Room Pet Fresh odor eliminator Plus Pet Hair Release.

Just shake it around, let it sit for a bit, then vacuum. Works great and smells good too...(especially that 'wet dog' smell.)

Also, for inbetween times just use one of those Swiffer cloths or Grab-its, they work too..........

Get some Static Guard and spray it around the car! Then vacuum it will release the static cling of the hair, makes vacuuming much easier too!

You've had some great responses regarding upholstery and rugs. Where we find hair a problem is on the dash, because of the static. So we clean that with a Swiffer cloth, then a damp cloth, and then Armorall. The latter helps keep hair from building up again.

first i tried the regular house vacume....hahah, did nothing.

then the car wash vacume... it helped, and got a lot but not all..

came home and used the shop-vac......

haha, it got everything..... it was strong enough to get it all....
