Dog Hair! HELP!!!?

I have two dogs an Akita and a Rottie/Shepard cross. I have to vacume my house everyday! I bought this special dog brush a while ago that looks like a rake and its supposed to elliminate most of the dog hair, but every day theres hair all over the house again.

Do you think giving them a bath will help or make it worse?

Any suggestions? Brushes that you know really work good?

Thank You!

A Furminator works really well, as well as a good undercoat rake in your dog's case. Also I don't know what food you feed, but a good premium food really does cut down on not only shedding, but itchy and flaky skin. I don't think dogs should be bathed so often as it takes too much of their natural oils from the coat. I give a bath about twice a year, but one of the baths will always be in spring when they start shedding the winter coat because yes, it does help to loose the excess fur.

But even with all that, and given the 2 breeds you own, don't be surprised if you still find dog hair! It's the nature of the beast LOL

get a furminator, it is a brush that looks like a clipper blade on a handle. The work very well.

Your dogs both need more omega oils in their diet, go to this link and order it as soon as you can.

The dogs lack the oils that help their fur and coat to remain healthy. A dog shedding that much hair is definitely a candidate for supplementing the diet to include more oils.
