right i have a German Shepherd who is moulting, there is hair absolutley everywhere. our last samsung hoover caught fire because it got clogged up with hair. so i need something more suited for picking up dog hair..

any help will be appreciated.

Hands down it is the Dyson Animal, that's the purple one. I've had mine for about 5 years and am delighted. No problems and it always does the job.

i use the twin turbo from argos, works on my german shepard, but just clean it out after each use cause other wise you do get clogs some with any hoover!! lol! hope not to much got burnt sounds scary!!!

Like most people have said I would also recommend the Dyson Hoover , I have one and very happy to say it楹搒 the best I have had so far. No bag , easy to clean filter, easy to remove filter , wash under water leave to dry for 12 hrs, works for hard floors and carpet , and great for picking up dust and hairs, I don楹搕 have a dog but my daughter has , when they come to visit her dog always leaves so much hair be-hide , pass my Dyson and even the ceramic floors look like they have been washed. My son suffers from allergies so I have to make sure is room is dust free and the Dyson makes sure of that . DYSON

There was a very good one advertised on one of the shopping channels the other night. I think it was Best Direct. You could try their website. It was very lightweight over the shoulder model and had something called a hair snagger attachment. It was reasonably priced too only 鎷?9.99. Sorry can't tell you much more about it. Don't need one myself so didn't pay much attention. Know what you mean about German Shepherd hair though(used to ave one) they are like needles and work their way in everywhere.

Dyson. I have a Newfoundland with a long, double coat and had to have something designed for long pet hair without getting clogged. It is expensive though so I asked family members to pitch in for Christmas and I added to it.

The Dyson 'Animal' is marketed to pet owners and is about $700, but I have the entry-level Dyson and it is the same thing just missing one attachment (and it's a different color). It really works just as well.

I've got a couple of dogs and the hair on the carpet drives me mad. I bought a Dyson Animal, it's purple. It did the job fairly well but did break down after 18 months. Since then I bought the cheapest Dyson I could find and it does the job just as well.

Correct answer goes to Heather (and me, naturally). I have had two different Dysons and they both sucked... but not in the way they were supposed to! The only thing that does suck are all you people that have been sucked in by the hype surrounding them. There is no way that any Dyson has the suction power of a little Henry Hoover from Pneumatic. It's what I have and wouldn't swap it for any other make.
