Dog hair home-made treatments?

Feed him a product with Omega 3 and oils in it. Usually when your dog's coat is dull it's the food. Maybe change his food. But don't feed Natural Choice or Nutra, or Nutro. Animals are still getting sick and dying from these pet foods and they have not been recalled. You could get a product from the store, but it will be temporary.

Goodness. If there's anything I can't stand, it's a dog with dull hair. I'm checking the sources. B rt back.

Don't use human shampoo, or conditioner on dogs. It will dry out their skin. Go to your local pet store and ask them what you could use. There should be plenty of doggie shampoos perfect for making your dog clean, and shiny! Good luck!

He needs more oil in his diet. Pet stores have food additives for this. A capful of vegetable oil 1 time a day on his dry food helps too.

If your dog already has a good diet.

Try a Finishing spray after you give him a bath when his fur is damp.

Finishing sprays are designed for application when your pet is still wet that make the coat slick and shiny. Most of these sprays contain silicone and function to seal the hair shaft, make it lay down flat and make combing and brushing easier between baths.

****Use it sparingly; a little goes a long way.*****

I'm sure you can find many different Finishing sprays at other retailers too in the pet grooming section.
