Which vacuum works best with dog hair?

We have a kenmore canister vacuum and are wanting an upright. Are Dyson vacuums all they're cracked up to be?

I have a Kenmore Canister and I think it's great! When the guy demonstrated it to me he threw some cat litter on the floor, just what I wanted to use it for. Also pet hair. I used uprights, Dirt Devil, Hoovers, some other brand that I've blocked out and have found my canister to be the best so far. The only one I think that can beat it is an Electrolux. Those are awe$ome.

I would guess that Dyson vacuums would be the best bet for you. They don't lose suction, and don't let the hair back into the air. To help even more, try a dog comb that gets the undercoat of the dog's fur, for there wouldn't be as much to vacuum up, so you wouldn't have to vacuum as much!

Hi first you want to just buy yourself a course sponge.

And slightly dampen it %26amp; then wipe down the sofa, the pillows, rugs, etc.

Keep that sponge around %26amp; then use a good quality vaccum that has a brush, a rolling brush on the roller part that runs over the rugs. You want/need that rolling brush to pull up leftover hair.

HOwever a vaccum isn't going to be useful to you in total, you'll need the sponge to keep your vaccum healthy overall.

I have a older Fantom Thunder and it works really well, I have two Great Danes and a Dachshund, my son has a Dyson and he says it is a piece of crap for the price, but maybe he just got a lemon!
