Dog hair problems?!?

i have a labrador and he sheds like all the time but in a crazy way is there some type of pills or things to give them to stop the shedding?

Nope. Sorry there is no way to end your dogs shedding. Although you can decrease the amount of hair that is left behind by giving a good brushing everysingle day. I have the Shedender brush and I use that on my lab mix everyday and it's cut down on her shedding a lot. Good luck

does she have dry skin? My GSD sheds a lot more when his skin is dry and my vet gave me 3v caps and then oil that i squirt on his food

Otherwise you need to brush her to keep the loose hair out but even then it is hot at least where I live and that may be part of the problem

Nope, sorry, no such thing. He may still be losing his winter coat, my retreiver is. Brush him daily. Shedding in dogs happens for a reason. Trying to stop the shedding will cause more harm than good.

click on this website!! Dr's foster and smith they have,a powder for that. the only problem is,you have to keep giving it to your dog,all the time.if you don't the shedding,will continue.

there is no way to completly stop your dog from shedding BUT sometimes they shed alot because of lack of certain vitamins.. Try linatone (i believe that is how its spelled.. ) its a liquid vitamin you put right on the dogs food .. You can get it at a petsmart or i believe some vets office carries it.. It does help a lot.. but won't stop it completly..

yes! your vet can tell you what to do in this case!

Also dogs shed for different reasons:

1:if they are in a stressful envoirment they can shed

2:they could have worms

3.they could have contact dermatitis {dry skin due to irritation

4 .weather plays a role in it ,hot they loose their old winter coat and end of summer they loose that coat to prepare for the winter one.

All dogs do it ! all of mine do too!

All mammals shed, it's a natural biological process. If your dog has bald spots from losing its hair, take it to the vet. Otherwise you're just looking at normal shedding. Just because a dog has short hair doesn't mean it doesn't shed! Labs are notorious shedders.

A warm bath will usually loosen up a lot of dead hair. You can also use a furminator (furminator.com) to remove a lot of the loose hair.

But no, there is no magic pill that will stop shedding.
