As long as your dog is clean and parasite free, it's not going to be a problem.. Brush the dog regularly, feed him a good quality dogfood, fresh water, and Omega 3 Oils, vacuum daily and things are good.. Baby might have some dog hair on his clothes, but hey, it builds character :)

Hi, we have a Boxer and I never thought a short haired dog could shed so much. We also have an almost 1 year old that gets around and always comes out covered in dog hair.
The main concern is whether your child is suffering from any allergies. Also, try to keep things vacuumed on a daily basis, but mainly when the child starts to crawl, but there is nothing wrong with a little dog hair on a kid.

No. I do shave my Newfie though. If it really bothers you, it's something to consider.
